We are looking for a Fluent Welsh Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and supportive school in the Llanelli area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning in a Welsh-medium setting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work with pupils across the school, providing support in the classroom, small groups, and occasionally on a 1:1 basis. You will help learners access the curriculum, develop confidence, and reach their full potential—all through the Welsh language.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning through fluent Welsh
* Assist pupils with classwork, activities, and engagement
* Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
* Support pupils’ wellbeing and promote positive behaviour
* Collaborate with the class teacher and wider staff team
* Help prepare resources and maintain a nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
* Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
* Experience working with children (school, childcare, or youth settings)
* Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* LSA/TA qualifications are desirable but not essential
