The Opportunity The role will lead on core financial reporting while also supporting and driving a range of strategic projects that are central to the group’s growth, transformation, and performance improvement agenda. Core Responsibilities Include: Lead the preparation of consolidated group financial statements Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards, regulatory updates, and internal controls Manage and refine group reporting processes, improving accuracy and timelines Partner with external auditors and coordinate group audit deliverables Deliver high-quality board and investor reporting packs Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles for group and subsidiaries Own and evolve the group consolidation model and reporting tools Strategic & Commercial Project Involvement: Deep dive into business units and service line margins, helping shape commercial decision-making Support due diligence, valuation modelling, and post-deal integration planning Assist with debt structuring, covenant reporting, and working capital optimisation Contribute to group-wide initiatives around systems, controls, and automation Provide analytical support to senior leadership on capital allocation and strategic planning Help embed financial risk management practices and contribute to internal control enhancements You’ll report to a Finance leader with a strong track record of developing talent and offering genuine exposure to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Profile: We’re looking for a technically sharp, commercially minded individual who brings: ACA qualification (or equivalent), trained in a Top 10 accountancy firm Strong post-qualified experience, ideally in a complex, multi-entity environment A proven ability to work at pace, managing competing priorities with confidence Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability A keen eye for process improvement and analytical thinking Experience in IFRS group reporting and an appetite for hands-on project work On Offer: £85,000 – £95,000 20-30% Annual Bonus Exceptional pension contribution (well above industry standard) Hybrid working model and a modern, collaborative office environment Enhanced wellbeing and private healthcare benefits
