Your new role
As a Payroll Officer, you’ll provide specialist administrative and technical support across payroll or pensions. You’ll manage day‑to‑day processes, maintain accurate records, and respond to a range of customer queries.You’ll also act as a senior point of support—handling moreplex cases, checking the quality of work, sharing best practice and helping colleagues get the best out of systems and processes.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone with solid payroll or pensions experience and a strong understanding of the legislation and technical detail that underpins both areas. You’ll be confident working with data, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and be able tomunicate information clearly to customers and colleagues. To succeed, you’ll bring strong numeracy and accuracy, effective written and verbalmunication skills, and good analytical and problem‑solving ability. You should feelfortable producing clear reports and managing your workload under pressure, supported by strong IT skills across Word, Excel and payroll systems. A proactive mindset and amitment to improving processes and service delivery will help you make a real impact in the role.
