Play Worker (Casual)
Hours: 01-20 casual hours per week (during Half Term) - Casual hours available during daytime, evenings, and weekends
Salary: £12.21 per hour (+ holiday pay)
Location: Hampden Park Sports Centre, Eastbourne

Job Description
The Wave Team has extensive experience managing community leisure activities, including leisure centres (wet and dry), dual use sites (such as schools and colleges), and sport and physical activity programmes (indoor and outdoor).
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure our employees provide a smooth, fun, and engaging play scheme experience, maintaining and upholding the ‘Wave’ standards for children and parents, resulting in high satisfaction levels.
Our employees work collaboratively, adhering to expectations set by external bodies (Ofsted), the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and management to deliver effective customer service, enthusiasm, and pride in our work.
Summary of Main Duties:
The main priorities of the Play Worker are:
* Providing a fun, friendly, and efficient service to all customers.
* Engaging proactively with children of various ages and abilities to ensure they have a fantastic experience and feel encouraged to try new activities.
* Responding positively to parental requests and adapting to individual needs based on information provided and approved by room leaders, DSL, and management.
* Demonstrating enthusiasm throughout the play scheme.
* Showing respect, mindfulness, and compassion towards customers and assisting them as needed.
* Communicating effectively with staff, the public, and management.
* Possessing knowledge of safeguarding issues such as FGM, Prevent, and Criminal Lines; training will be provided if not previously obtained.
Other Duties
1. Carrying out additional duties as required.
