We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Advisor to work in a small, busy team, securing sales and growing our customer base. This is a permanent, full time position.
Job Purpose
The role of the Sales Advisor is to provide accurate and relevant advice to customers about our products and training services together with management of customer and market information.
Responsibilities
Maintain regular contact with allocated accounts with the aim of generating regular orders
Keep customer information up to date on database
Handling customer enquiries
Providing expert advice on products and services
Develop new business by proactive contact with prospective customers
Issue and follow up on quotations and process sales orders
Negotiate sales through to conclusion
Coordinate with other Sales and Marketing team members to effectively allocate resource and optimise processes
Continue professional development of technical product knowledge
Support Sales Coordinator and Head of Sales and Marketing as required
Be a positive role model for the Sales and Marketing team and embody company values: integrity, innovation and excellence
Experience
You should have previous sales experience within an office environment. Knowledge of SAGE accounting would be an advantage as well as using a contacts database.
Personal Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate and influence others.
Highly organised and comfortable working with data and systems
Product knowledge of work at height landscape, rigging, rescue, rope work or climbing ideal but nto essential. Ability to develop knowledge in these areas is required.
Essential Skills
A high standard of numeracy and literacy is required and an ability to use MS Office and Sage an advantage.
