Commercial Assistant

The Company

DSW is a family-owned and run water treatment and engineering company, based in Lingfield, Surrey. They have over 25 years of experience in a range of engineering disciplines. In a fast-changing industry, DSW are proud to remain 100% independent. Due to the sustained growth and expansion of the business, DSW are now looking to welcome a Commercial Assistant to the Head Office team to support the Directors with sales quotations, commercial reporting, and general day-to-day commercial activities.

Role and Responsibilities

The Commercial Assistant is responsible for supporting the Directors in the delivery and development of commercial and sales activities within DSW Limited.

The Commercial Assistant will work directly with the Directors and will be responsible for the day-to-day support of commercial and sales activities, including the preparation of quotations, production of reports, and coordination of sales documentation. The Commercial Assistant will also liaise directly with suppliers to obtain cost information and attend meetings as required to support ongoing business development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Working Directly with Directors.

· Raising sales quotations for the Directors

· Completing general sales focused commercial reports for the Directors

· Completing summary emails and supporting documentation for sales processes

· From time to time attending sales meetings

· Liaising and obtaining costs from suppliers

Personal Specification

· Basic GCSE Grade A-C/Level 4+ in Maths and English.

· Organized and methodical

· 2 years minimum working closely with senior management but preferably Managing Directors

· Possess the ability to work towards individual & departmental KPIs and/or targets

· Confident with Microsoft packages, including basic understand of word, excel and outlook.

· Strong communication skills & professional telephone manner

· Excellent time management skills, being able to work quickly, accurately and within tight deadlines

· A Keen eye for detail allowing for the prioritization of tasks efficiently

· Effective, reliable team player who exhibits a proactive "can do" attitude

· Shows initiative & demonstratable ability to problem solve

· Prior experience in a customer facing role and/or in maintaining customer accounts/contracts is highly desirable

The role will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday (8am-4pm)

* £30k – £32k depending on experience and skill set.

* Holiday- Generous 5-week holiday allowance pro-rata plus bank holidays

* Pension schemes included in employment package.

* Working location: within a small friendly team in the DSW Head office in Lingfield, Surrey, with travel required for meetings.

* 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays

* Additional 1 day for every 2 years of service up to a maximum of 28 days.
