Junior Product Developer

I am currently recruiting for an Junior Product Developer to join a market leading clothing company based within their UK Head Office function in Manchester. You will be responsible for the supporting the Product Development team and developing the own brand offerings. Working closely with both the design & Buying teams, your responsibility is to ensure that products are continuously improved whilst maintaining technical quality levels and meeting sales margin targets.
Your main responsibilities as the Junior Product Developer will include;
* Manage all incoming/outgoing samples with correct documentation.
* Assist with weekly trade preparation including Best and Worst, sample rails and product tags.
* Ensure style details/info is correct and up to date on the system.
* Assist with tech packs and costing on the system.
* Attend fit sessions and add fit comments.
* Conducting regular QC checks with warehouse
* Assisting with sample measuring and comments.
* Ensuring critical path is up to date on the system by chasing relevant info from suppliers and reporting issues ahead of time.
* Monitor test reports, care-label submissions and approvals.
* Assist with the approval of Lab dips and submissions.
* Assist with size charts, costing, negotiation and raising of orders.
* Manage barcode requests and approvals.
* Chase suppliers for press samples and send to relevant teams.
* Attending meetings and ensure notes are written up, distributed and followed up in a timely manner.
Key requirement for the role;
* Previous experience of working within Fashion Product development
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good organisation skills
* Strong IT skills with an overall understanding of all MS Office packages
* Relevant level qualifications/experience which incorporates Clothing Technology and Product development
