About the Role
As Lead Social Science Teacher, you will:

Deliver high-quality lessons across KS4 and KS5 in subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology.

Provide subject leadership within the Social Sciences faculty, driving curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies.

Mentor and support colleagues, including Early Career Teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Lead departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives related to Social Science.

Play a key role in promoting student engagement, achievement, and wellbeing within the faculty.

Experience and Qualifications

Degree in a Social Science discipline (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminology).

PGCE or QTS.

Salary

Competitive salary paid on the MPS/UPS scale (M1 to UPS3).

A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) allowance is available for the successful candidate, reflecting the leadership responsibilities of this role.
