With 12 pupils currently on roll and a maximum capacity of 30, the provision maintains a high staff-to-pupil ratio, ensuring that every child receives tailored support.A number of pupils require 1:1 assistance, and staff work within a nurturing, therapeutic and structured environment designed to help children regulate their emotions, re-engage with learning and develop positive relationships.The RoleWe are seeking a resilient, confident and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team. The role involves:Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health needsSupporting pupils who may display challenging or physical behaviours, including hitting, kicking, spitting or lashing outUsing de-escalation techniques and behaviour-regulation strategiesSupporting personalised learning and behaviour plansWorking collaboratively with a highly skilled, trauma-informed staff teamEssential RequirementsExperience working with pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviourExperience supporting children with SEND, ideally within an AP, PRU or specialist environmentTeam Teach trainingAn Enhanced DBSA calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour supportYou do not need to be a qualified Teacher or Teaching Assistant.
