This is a key role, providing an excellent opportunity to lead pupils through their final year of primary education as they prepare for secondary school and statutory assessments. Assessment and monitoring of pupil progress will form a central part of your role. You will identify gaps in learning, deliver targeted interventions, and differentiate lessons to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL, achieve strong outcomes. You will work closely with colleagues across Upper Key Stage 2 to ensure continuity and progression, sharing good practice and contributing to curriculum development. Teaching assistants and senior leaders will support you in delivering an inclusive and effective learning experience. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is a priority. You will communicate openly, celebrate achievements, and work collaboratively to support pupils’ academic and emotional development.
