About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sprinkler Service Engineer to support the inspection, maintenance, and repair of automatic fire sprinkler systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout the Midlands. This Sprinkler Service Engineer role focuses on ensuring fire protection systems remain fully operational, compliant with industry standards, and capable of providing effective fire suppression when required.
As a Sprinkler Service Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections, fault finding, and system repairs across a range of sprinkler installations. The Sprinkler Service Engineer will work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team to ensure all systems are maintained in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
The Sprinkler Service Engineer will regularly interact with clients on site, providing clear communication, professional technical advice, and recommendations where remedial works are required. Accurate reporting and compliance documentation will also form an important part of the Sprinkler Service Engineer role.

Key responsibilities
• Completing scheduled service works on a variety of fire sprinkler systems including major services, minor services, interim services, and weekly and monthly testing
• Carrying out 25 year system inspections on installed sprinkler systems
• Performing system diagnostics and fault finding on fire sprinkler installations
• Completing remedial works and pipework repairs where required
• Conducting checks and flow tests on fire pumps
• Producing detailed service reports following each site visit
• Travelling extensively between sites across the Midlands region
• Occasional overnight stays when required due to travel or project requirements
• Participating in the on call rota to support emergency service requirements
Skills and experience required
Essential:
• Proven experience working with fire sprinkler systems
• Knowledge of LPC and FM sprinkler related regulations
• Experience working in a customer facing engineering role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build professional client relationships
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Disciplined and organised approach to work
• Excellent time keeping and flexibility
• Willingness to attend all required training programmes
• Commitment to demonstrating honesty, teamwork, integrity and enthusiasm
• Full UK driving licence

• Additional industry related certifications or qualifications within fire protection systems
