Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. The College prides itself on its inclusive approach to student support, assisting an increasing number of learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to access Further Education and Apprenticeships. The Learning Skills Centre (LSC) team provides essential support to learners, working in partnership with curriculum staff to support students to realise their potential. We currently have a vacancy within our Learning Skills Centre for an Inclusive Learning Practitioner. The College is looking for dynamic people who have experience of successfully delivering support and guidance to young people and vulnerable adults to join its LSC team.
* Work collaboratively with curriculum staff to provide dynamic learning support strategies to individuals and small groups in accordance with their support/ EHC plan.
* Monitor student progression and achievement via 1:1 study skills session, mentoring and academic progress workshops.
* Ensure education provision and associated support conforms to the SEND Code of Practice
* Regularly review support plans with the students, updating relevant reports and information systems to monitor student progression.
* Support students to develop study skills, professional competencies and promote independent learning.
Qualifications
* Level 3 or equivalent qualification or a willingness to undertake further training in the field of teaching and learning.
* Minimum Level 2 Maths and English Grade 4 (GCSE Grade C) or equivalent.
* Experience of having works professionally with young people in an education/ care setting.
* Knowledge of the impact of specific learning difficulties, mental health difficulties and disabilities on learning.
* Enthusiasm and drive for outstanding service delivery to support students with SEND fulfilling their potential.
