The Department

The Family and Systemic Psychotherapy clinicians in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services provide excellent care for families of children and young people with significant mental health difficulties. The service provides systemic supervision and support to CAMHS staff working with families and consider the systemic impact of work in Specialist Children’s Services on colleagues. In addition to the professional lead post, there are 3 senior posts at 8a providing supervision and leadership to family therapy staff, and 5.4 staff in community teams and in the infant mental health service. There are 2wte staff in regional and national inpatient services.

Key responsibilities, essential and desirable criteria (skills, knowledge, and experience):

The professional leadership role provides supervision to the senior staff, systemic advice and guidance for SCS in management meetings, and collaboration with other professional leads in the service.
