What you'll be doing:
Acting as the Contractor Representative, administer contracts with the client, lenders, Lenders Technical Advisor and contractors for two PFI projects to ensure that the assets perform to meet statutory, contractual, and revenue targets.
Maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts up to 12 months in advance, and exercise full financial accountability for budget approval and invoice authorisation.
Manage and resolve escalations from environmental agencies, operators, and public complaints related to operational issues including spillages, burst pipes, and odor concerns.
Address asset failure or technical issues arising during the concessions and ensure that revenue and environmental targets are achieved,, Including management of any Compensation Events..
Lead the comprehensive handback process for four water treatment sites to the operator/regulator, ensuring seamless transition through detailed documentation and compliance verification.
What we're looking for:
Experience with substantial civil and mechanical engineering assets is required to understand operational, maintenance, and failure issues.
Advanced informed decision-making skills are essential, requiring independence of thought and the ability to choose solutions even when prior consultation is unavailable or limited.
An understanding of sewage collection, transfer, and treatment processes is beneficial for the role.
Advanced skills in relationship management are necessary to interface with lenders, contractors, the Client, and public entities.
Proficient financial management and Commercial skills are required to handle forecasting, planning, and budgets.
A broad awareness of regulatory requirements and environmental matters related to the industry is necessary.
