You’ll be joining our Civils Projects team as a Senior Site Agent to work on our Hinkley Point C contract in Bridgwater, Somerset.. We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

As a Senior Site Agent you will be part of our Operational Team who are responsible for delivering the Core Service Terms Maintenance Contract

What will you be doing?

You'll take ownership for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance of your teams and ensure all identified actions are reported and closed out within their timescales.

Site operational management of Construction activity for the ‘Core’ section of Contract on site at Hinkley Point.

You'll ensure you and your teams are all trained and competent in order to do the work the are designated to undertake.

Understanding and embeing the requirements of the contract within your team. Ensure operatives and sub-contractors are supplied with all necessary documentation in accordance with NNB procedures to complete their tasks.

You'll ensure where reasonably practical that we meet NNB client expectations and ensure excellent Communication with all project stakeholders.

The core business takes outline scopes provided by the client, develop them into a detailed design, with material, labour and plant requirements, and deliver. You'll steer the client to meet their design control responsibilities to ensure Task Orders are reviewed for Design buildability.

You'll plan and deliver works in a manner which meets client targets, working closely with Foreman, Programmer and Lead Operatives.

Through the Daily brief provide gangs with clear expectations and productivity targets to include HSE information through Toolbox talks.

Forecast the projected commercial outturn for schemes to provide increased certainty, to establish labour, plant, material and specialist sub-contractor requirements;

You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a rolling programme is maintained for works, and the Live Programme is updated.

Complete all depot administration activities with diligence and energy to maximise the time spent on site planning and supervising works.

Including all quality (ITP’s, Benchmarks) assessments are visible and performance is measured and managed.

Monitoring all works activities to ensure they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of It Starts With Me (ISWM)

We'll ask you to work closely and collaboratively with your QS to review non-rateable items and understand contemporary commercial performance.

You'll lead the Foreman and Operatives on a daily basis and undertake their Performance Development Record.

You'll attend Client Projects meetings to provide them with a delivery update and manage all issues. Providing Support to the Ops Manager as and when required.

What You’ll Bring

* Essential - Civil Engineering or related qualification, CSCS card Managers & Professionals, SMSTS, UK/EEC driving licence.
* Evidence of managing health & safety in construction.
* Good general IT skills are essential, you’ll be proficient in MS SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI and Causeway.
* Experience in effective programming of construction or maintenance works, preferably in the highway maintenance industry.
* Highways maintenance & winter service experience is essential
