Due to a growth period in the maritime defence sector we currently have an opening for a Quality Technician to support the Quality Manager:
Responsibilities
* Provide detailed in-process and final inspection on composite components, using customer and company drawings to ensure product is manufactured to specification.
* Control of customer drawings.
* Reviewing updated drawings along with the Engineering team and actioning any changes.
* Creating and updating build packs and writing work instructions
* Updating drawing information on the MRP system.
* Inspection of new moulds prior to first production.
* Ensuring that all process paperwork is filled in correctly by the relevant personnel
* Generating Non-Conformance Reports
* Generating 8D reports
* Assisting with scope of supply docs
Skills & Qualifications
* Good communicator a strong team player
* Diploma or Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline
* Ability to work to deadline
* Experience in a marine or composites environment is preferable
* ISO 9001 systems knowledge
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Job specifics
* Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
* 40 hours per week Mon-Fri
