The Role
We are seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join our social housing maintenance team. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of responsive repairs and minor works, with a focus on pre-disrepair cases, damp and mould, and some kitchen and bathroom projects. You will lead a small office-based team of four (2 x Administrators and 1 Supervisor, plus yourself), coordinating a network of subcontractors to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate a team delivering responsive repairs and minor works across a social housing portfolio.
* Manage a subcontractor-based workforce, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of works.
* Oversee and manage cases of pre-disrepair, damp and mould, and oversee kitchen and bathroom works when required.
* Monitor workloads, allocate jobs, and ensure efficient use of resources.
* Carry out site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet required standards.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
* Provide clear reporting and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
* Support the administrative team in scheduling, performance monitoring, and handling tenant queries.
* Act as the point of escalation for repairs issues, resolving problems swiftly and professionally.

Key Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within repairs, maintenance, or social housing.
* Strong knowledge of damp, mould, disrepair, and kitchen/bathroom refurbishments.
* Experience managing subcontractors (no direct trades staff).
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, contractors, and clients.
* Good IT literacy (MS Office, housing/repairs management systems).
* Full UK driving licence (company van and fuel card provided).
