Overview
This team enables automation at Amazon Robotics Fulfillment centers. This team serves Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics teams by enabling automation, including real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. One key contribution is supporting fulfillment centers in maintaining inventory accuracy.
An Associate in this role watches the video of the stowing action at a fulfillment center, understands it thoroughly, and uses human judgement with tools to indicate the activity captured in the video. They verify or mark the location of a product through a tool while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This process helps maintain the fulfillment center\'s stow quality. This is an operational role. Under general supervision, the Associate performs precise and thorough video/image audits with high accuracy and speed, aiding defect reduction.
Key responsibilities
* Watch several hundred videos in a shift and provide responses focusing on accuracy, speed, and adherence to right/acceptable practices.
* Maintain breaks at predefined slots and ensure 6.8 to 7 hours per day are spent answering videos.
* For associates working from home, maintain a dedicated workspace and ensure data is secure and not accessible by others.
Candidate requirements
* Willingness to work in a non-tech role for a contract duration of 6 months.
* Ability to audit image/video/text-based jobs and identify details from blurry videos with high attention and focus.
* Willingness to work toward incremental targets on quality and productivity.
* Fast pace of implementation and consistent performance.
* Ability to work in rotational shifts (including night shifts), be a good team player, and work with remote teams.
* Willingness to come to the office for a few days when required (applicable for remote associates).
* Willingness to switch ON laptop camera during virtual meetings.
A day in the life
Associates work in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts in a 9-hour shift, including pre-scheduled breaks. Shift timings may change every 3-4 months or per business need. Night shift allowances apply per Amazon policy.
Weekly Offs
Rotational two consecutive days off within a 5-day work week. Not necessarily Saturday and Sunday, or as per business discretion.
About the team
Data Auditing Operations provides human support to Amazon Fulfillment facilities to enable hands-free active stowing through visual audits on videos/images. Videos are typically 15–20 seconds long and are reviewed to provide information on products stored at fulfillment centers. These audits help improve the effectiveness of automated processes and are used for performance coaching and improvement.
