Responsibilities
* Undertake expert specialist respiratory assessment of service users, including those with complex presentation, to formulate individualised management and treatment plans using evidence based clinical reasoning and a wide range of treatment skills and options.
* Perform specialist respiratory assessments by taking a holistic approach and following local and national guidelines and protocols.
* Work with service users and their carers towards shared goals, providing advice and support, signposting to other community services and organisations to ensure person-centred care and promote physical, psychological and social wellbeing.
* Provide education and advice to enable self-management and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
* Be a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team and have a significant role in the ongoing service development, delivery and evaluation of the Respiratory NHS@Home service across BNSSG.
Service details
* Location: Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset (BNSSG) area.
* Hours: 7-day service, 8am–8pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications and desirable attributes
* Extensive experience in respiratory management is not essential, but a keen interest to learn and develop in the role is essential.
