Stock Condition Surveyor
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire (Hybrid Working)
Pay Rate: £30.25 per hour (PAYE) | £38.98 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Length: 5 months (until end of April 2026)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Mileage: Reimbursed at 45p per mile (business travel)
We’re seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join a well-established housing provider on a temporary assignment within their Asset Investment Team.
This hybrid role offers a great balance of field and office-based work, with your main base in Evesham, Worcestershire, and property coverage across Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
The Role
As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving housing stock, ensuring all homes meet Decent Homes Standards and comply with current housing legislation, including HHSRS and Awaab’s Law.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out comprehensive stock condition and compliance surveys across the housing portfolio.
* Identify and report on issues relating to damp, mould, and disrepair, ensuring homes meet health and safety standards.
* Prepare clear and detailed technical reports and specifications to support planned maintenance and investment programmes.
* Assess property data and input findings into asset management systems.
* Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to coordinate surveys and follow-up actions.
* Support the Asset Investment Manager in planning and prioritising works based on survey findings.
* Ensure compliance with housing standards, legislation, and organisational policies.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and proactive professional who has:
* A degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* RICS qualification (preferred).
* Proven experience conducting property and condition surveys within a social housing or local authority setting.
* Strong knowledge of Decent Homes, HHSRS, and damp and mould legislation.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for site visits).
