As a top-25 engineering consultancy, we specialize in reimagining permanent designs, crafting temporary works, and providing expert advice on construction materials and ground engineering. With access to Kier's impressive £11bn+ project pipeline, including mega projects like High Speed 2 and Hinkley Point C, you’ll be part of exciting initiatives across all sectors of the built environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Associate Engineer, you will:
* Collaborate with the Construction Engineering team to deliver a wide range of complex services.
* Lead the development of fee proposals and ensure client requirements are fully understood.
* Organize and manage the daily workload of engineers and technical staff.
* Oversee the production of design deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
* Identify and implement value engineering opportunities.
* Build strong relationships with clients and project teams to exceed expectations.
* Manage financial and commercial aspects of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Provide leadership and support to your team, conducting performance reviews and promoting best practices.
* Stay updated on industry developments in health & safety, sustainability, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE).
* Have practical industry experience in a similar role.
* Are passionate about engineering and eager to contribute to sustainable development.
Working Conditions
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available to suit your needs.
