Our client are an energy infrastructure developer and asset owner who are part of a large European energy company. The company are developing large scale Heat Networks as well as managing and improving large energy infrastructure assets.
We are seeking a Commercial Asset Manager to oversee and optimise the profitability of our client's operational assets. You will ensure capital projects are delivered on time and within budget, track operational excellence initiatives, and oversee revenue streams, including subsidies. Additionally, you will drive improvements in cash flow through strategic negotiations with clients and contractors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and landowners.
* Manage transition projects and growth projects
* Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments to drive successful, cost-effective delivery.
* Working closely with both the operational and the development businesses to identify and mitigate risk in projects.
* Generate reports to highlight progress against milestones and against budgets
* Identify and drive implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project & operational processes, and deliver additional revenue.
* Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly existing and potential customers.
* Preparing proposals for new business opportunities, both for internal approval and for potential customers
Skills and Experience:
* A degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or a related field.
* An understanding of technical aspects in the power industry
* Ability to prioritise what matters and able to work well with people who do the same thing
* Strong negotiation skills and experience working on contractual negotiations, managing contracts and assessing opportunities from a commercial perspective.
* Experience in assessing financial models to ensure rigour in negotiations and in assessing risks and opportunities.
* Track record of carrying out transitional projects and improving processes
