Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of guest services and maintaining a welcoming environment within our establishment. This role involves assisting guests, managing luggage, and providing exceptional hospitality support to enhance overall guest experience. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous, along with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guest needs. The Porter will be a vital part of our team, ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their stay.
Responsibilities
* Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with luggage handling
* Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of common areas and luggage storage zones
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly
* Assist with transportation arrangements within the premises as needed
* Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when communicating with guests and vendors
* Support guest services by addressing inquiries courteously and efficiently
* Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations
Skills
* Multilingual or bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse guests
* Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Prior experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred
* Strong guest service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanour
* Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of local area attractions and services is a plus
