This role is based in Cardiff and focuses on water, drainage and infrastructure within our Water and Wastewater team. Our client base includes water companies, local authorities, highways authorities, Transport for Wales and developers.
Your Purpose
We are looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer who is passionate about water, drainage, and infrastructure to support surface water drainage and wastewater projects. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing surface water drainage and wastewater infrastructure services across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Develop your experience by contributing to wastewater and surface water management projects, with opportunities to support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders on initiatives to reduce Combined Sewer Overflow spills and reduce flooding occurrences.
* Help shape holistic water management strategies with a focus on sustainability, climate resilience, and protecting communities.
* Leverage digital tools and data to drive innovation and efficiency across the water and infrastructure sectors.
What You Can Bring
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Enthusiasm for civil, water, and environmental engineering.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
* Working towards, or interested in pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
