Job Description

Start here. Grow here.

In response to significant client demand and a strong opportunity pipeline, the AECOM programme management advisory and delivery teams are seeking to grow across all grades.

We are looking for experienced and capable individuals to work independently or with senior leadership to shape, develop, and deliver complex defence programmes. These roles will contribute to critical national capability and resilience through the successful definition, mobilisation, and management of investment and transformation programmes within the UK defence sector.

Roles will support programme advisory and delivery commissions across the full programme lifecycle, including: programme definition and mobilisation, operating model and governance design, programme readiness and assurance, maturity assessments, and the implementation of programme management and PMO structures within secure environments.

Here’s what you’ll do:

1. Support the team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;

2. Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;

3. Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;

4. Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions;

5. Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements;

6. Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful delivery;

7. Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the team;

8. Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process;

9. Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and

10. Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.

If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don't just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives. Why not give our AECOM page on LinkedIn a follow to stay updated on the impactful projects we're working on and see firsthand the difference we're making in the industry!
