Role Overview
You will report to the Collections & House Manager and supervise a team of four Collections Assistants, ensuring routine housekeeping, preventive conservation, deep cleaning and accurate recording of maintenance data. You will supervise volunteers and present collections to visitors in a high standard of care.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage a team of Collections Assistants and volunteers.
* Maintain routine housekeeping, preventive conservation and annual deep cleaning programmes.
* Collect and record information from cleaning and housekeeping to improve understanding of collections.
* Apply preventive conservation methods to protect and present collections.
* Manage costs and spending related to maintenance activities.
* Participate in the Muster Point Coordinator rota, working some weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications
* People‑first attitude with excellent service orientation.
* Strong teamwork and day‑to‑day supervision and management skills.
* Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
* Experience in cost and budget management.
* Creative ideas for making spaces and objects accessible to visitors.
Working Pattern
30 hours per week (four days). May involve weekend and bank holiday work.

Salary: £22,089.60 pro rata (equivalent to £27,612 full‑time).
