Overview
: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicles for nationwide deliveries and collections
2. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs
3. Ensure secure loading, unloading, and safe transportation of goods
4. Adhere to all DVSA regulations, tachograph laws, and working time directive
5. Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and logbooks
6. Plan routes efficiently and adapt to traffic or road conditions
Skills and Qualifications:
7. Have previous HGV Class 1 experience
8. Be dynamic and have a professional approach
9. Demonstrate a commitment to developing you own knowledge and abilities
10. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
11. Have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
12. Be a strong team player
13. Be agile and adapt to changing business needs
