Sky-Drones is a drone technology company located London, United Kingdom that creates UAV solutions for commercial and security applications. The company produces drones, hardware, software, flight control, ground control, and communication systems. Sky-Drones also provides cloud-based management platforms to help its global customers build, operate, and maintain their drones.


Role Description

We are seeking a part-time, hybrid Flight Operations UAS Remote Pilot based in the London area, with occasional travel across the UK, USA, Europe, Africa, and Australia. This role combines hands-on flight testing with direct customer training and onboarding.

You will operate our aircraft during test and validation missions, review system updates, and support certification activities by ensuring safe and reliable performance. A key focus of your responsibilities will be to train our customers on how to operate our systems covering flight preparation, mission planning, safe launch and recovery procedures, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.


Responsibilities

* Proficiently operate and navigate our advanced drone systems to deliver a diverse range of services.
* Adhere strictly to aviation regulations, company directives, and industry best practices to guarantee secure and efficient operations.
* Thoroughly inspect equipment before each flight, ensuring optimal condition for mission success.
* Execute missions with precision, capturing high-quality data for purposes such as surveying, surveillance, or secure and timely package delivery.
* Contribute to the development of concept of operations and the creation of documents, including standard operating procedures.
* Conduct post-flight analysis, generating detailed mission reports with valuable insights and recommendations.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technology experts, regulatory specialists, and data analysts, to seamlessly integrate drone services into client operations.
* Stay abreast of industry advancements, new regulations, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance operational efficiency and safety.


Qualifications

* Prior experience as a UAS Remote Pilot
* Hold a valid Remote Pilot GVC
* Excellent knowledge of unmanned aerial systems, including airframes, sensors, and flight software
* Strong understanding of aviation safety protocols and airspace regulations
* Ability to plan, prepare, and execute flight missions in a variety of environments and weather conditions
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
* Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
* Valid UK driving license, a car and willingness to travel as needed
* Ability to work independently and in remote locations
