Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to provide exceptional care and support to residents in a long-term care. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, well-being, and dignity of residents during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in senior care, including dementia and memory care, with a strong focus on patient observation, medication administration, and personalized care planning. Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive night-time care to residents, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
* Complete medication administration
* Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met safely.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols..
* Engage residents in social activities or companionship to promote mental well-being during overnight hours.
* Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living, care homes, home health, hospice, or group homes.
* Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care.
* Strong observational skills with attention to detail for patient monitoring during overnight shifts.
* Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents and team members.
