We have a 23‑month fixed term role in our Oncology Mulbarton Ward and a permanent role in our Weybourne Unit – please state your preference in your personal statement.

About Weybourne Unit
The Weybourne Day Unit provides a nurse‑led Oncology and Haematology service. Specially trained Chemotherapy Nurses administer outpatient chemotherapy regimens, supported by the Oncology and Haematology consultants and a team of doctors specially trained in Chemotherapy.
About Mulbarton Ward
Mulbarton ward is a 34‑bedded ward caring for patients with cancer. We care for patients who need chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, iodine therapy as well as support patients with side effects from their cancer and treatments. We care for patients at the end of their life and provide palliative care.
Main duties of the job
Work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi‑disciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
As a registered nurse on the ward you will be responsible for a cohort of patients, providing bedside care. Working alongside the management team to provide excellent patient care in a supportive environment. Teaching and coaching will be available at all times.
As a Newly Qualified Nurse you will become fully integrated into the team and will be encouraged to continually develop your skills.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Completion of Pre‑Registration training to diploma or degree level (final award to be confirmed)
* Registered nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC registrar
Experience
* Recent experience of nursing in an acute hospital environment
* Knowledge / experience of relevant speciality
Skills
* Good communication and inter‑personal skills
* Ability to maintain high standards of care

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 a year pro rata.
