Our Building Services division provides complete Facilities Management of properties throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.
We are looking for a Multiskilled Engineer to join the Commercial Property Maintenance team on one of our projects in Bristol. The purpose of the role to deliver on time, within budget, and in accordance with the Skanska Health & Safety policies and procedures the safe operation, maintenance and repair of the site electrical / mechanical / building services plant & equipment as delegated by the Lead Engineer/ Managers in support of the maintenance of the site under the terms of the Bristol Schools PFI contract.
What you’ll do:
* Ensure that all M+E equipment is serviced (by both subcontractors and in-house team) to SFG20 standards and an appropriate Planned Preventative Maintenance Regime is in place to ensure longevity of the assets.
* General duties will require multi-skilled discipline to carry out PPM’s on Lighting Systems, Electrical Systems, DATA/Networking Systems, Plate Heat Exchangers, Pressurization Systems, motors, pumps, FCU’s, AHU’s along with repair of all M&E systems such as extract and supply air ductwork systems, toilets, plumbing and heating systems, but not limited too.
* Complete a full and intrusive survey of the M+E assets on site to identify where improvements are required to inform a substantial forward maintenance plan.
* Responsible for planning own work when given a range of work to do that necessitates some forward planning and where this involves other staff, ensure that the planning and work detailing achieves efficiency in the use of labour, where this is necessary provide costs to the supervisor.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC level in Electrical & or Mechanical engineering
* 18th Edition / C&G 2382
* Demonstrate understanding of HVAC and Water Treatment(L8)
* Must possess basic computer literacy skills.
* Excellent communication, numeracy and organisational skills essential
