Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum

They are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their dynamic Residential Property team in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your conveyancing career in a busy, well-respected firm where you’ll work alongside some of the region’s best lawyers.
The department handles a wide variety of residential conveyancing matters, including:
1. Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
2. Remortgages
3. Transfer of equity and equity release
4. Landlord purchases
5. Shared ownership
6. New builds
The Role
7. Liaising with clients, banks, building societies, and estate agents
8. Preparing and sending quotes and taking client instructions
9. Opening and managing client files using our case management system
10. Drafting contracts and dealing with day-to-day file progressions
11. Reporting to clients on mortgage offers
12. Checking search results and raising relevant enquiries
13. Drafting and preparing search reports
14. Completing SDLT forms and managing registrations and post-completion duties
15. Handling document preparation, accounts, letters, invoices, and SDLT submissions
16. Preparing for and dealing with completions
The Person
17. Proven experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant
18. Proactive, client-focused, and highly organised
19. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
20. Able to manage multiple files under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
21. Strong IT skills and familiarity with conveyancing case management systems
