Job Summary
We are seeking a Client Manager who will support the Partner in preparing and completing annual financial statements, income and corporation tax returns, and reviewing team output. You will manage a small team of accountants and bookkeepers, ensuring high-quality standards and providing technical guidance and training. You will also handle some client relationships, offering tax and business advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and review team output for quality assurance.
* Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for various entities.
* Support less experienced team members with training and development.
* Assist with strategic client meetings, software selection and implementation, and business advisory.
* Contribute to reviewing and enhancing firm procedures and processes
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
* Be a qualified ACA/ACCA Chartered Accountant.
* Have at least 4 years of accounting experience working in an accounting practice.
* Have strong technical knowledge and be up to date with current legislation.
* Have solid experience of preparation of year end accounts for owner-managed businesses.
* Have expertise in personal and corporation tax returns, capital allowances rules, CGT, tax efficient strategies, etc.
* Have a good working knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage and Xero, as well as Microsoft Office.
* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
* Be a good leader with a team-focused attitude.
