Estate Couple – Lodge Host / Head Housekeeper & Estate Maintenance Assistant Syre & North Loch Naver Estate – Scottish Highlands Location: Syre Estate, Strathnaver, KW11 6UA Contract: Fixed-term for the fishing season, with potential for longer-term Hours: Full time during the fishing season (flexibility required) Accommodation: On-estate accommodation provided The Opportunity Syre and North Loch Naver Estate are seeking an experienced and capable estate couple to play a central role in the smooth running of our traditional Highland sporting estate during the fishing season. This opportunity combines two complementary roles: Head Housekeeper / Lodge Host Estate Maintenance & General Assistant Together, the couple will support the day-to-day operation, presentation and upkeep of Syre Lodge (fully catered) and Dalvina Lodge (self-catering), ensuring an exceptional experience for fishing guests and the efficient running of the estate. This is an ideal role for a couple who enjoy hands-on work, working as part of a small team, and living in a rural estate environment. Role 1: Head Housekeeper / Lodge Host The Lodge Host will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the lodges during guest weeks, working closely with the Head Ghillie and Estate Factor. Key responsibilities include: Managing housekeeping, laundry and lodge presentation to a high standard Coordinating the assistant housekeeper and cook, including rotas and evening service Supporting dining service at Syre Lodge, including table service and dining room set-up Acting as the main point of contact for guests before and during their stay Ensuring smooth weekly changeovers and lodge readiness Maintaining discretion, professionalism and a welcoming lodge atmosphere Role 2: Estate Maintenance & General Assistant The Estate Maintenance Assistant will support the physical upkeep and presentation of estate buildings and grounds, working closely with the Head Ghillie and lodge staff.
