Im currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of a well-established, family-run business based in Stokesley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who is looking to develop their skills in a varied and hands-on role.
Working within a friendly, collaborative office environment, youll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage purchase ledger, including invoice processing and supplier payments
* Perform statement reconciliations and manage cash control
* Conduct debtor reviews and analysis
* Process direct debits and reconcile credit card transactions
* Support credit control activities
* Reconcile data between software systems
* Carry out general office and administrative duties
* Communicate effectively with colleagues across the wider business
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
Skills & Experience
* Self-motivated, organised, and proactive with a positive attitude
* Confident working independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Comfortable handling difficult conversations when needed
* Previous experience within an accounts or finance department is essential
* Good IT skills knowledge of Xero and Excel would be an advantage
* Ideally studying towards or holding AAT Level 2 or 3 (not essential)
