1. Isolation and purification of plasmid DNA at small to large scale
2. Manipulation of cultures
3. Analysis of Sanger and NGS DNA sequencing data
4. Supply DNA plasmids across matrix teams
5. Record data in electronic laboratory notebooks
6. Work effectively both individually and as part of a matrix team
Essential Skills:
7. Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent and 1+ years of laboratory experience in a molecular biology laboratory
8. Background in a biological or biochemical sciences discipline
9. General knowledge of molecular biology techniques
10. Ability to prioritise work activities to the required timelines
11. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
12. Excellent organisational skills
13. Excellent attention to detail
14. Track record of flexibility and teamwork
15. Good written and verbal communication skills
16. Excellent record keeping skills
Desirable Skills:
17. Academic or industrial experience working in the laboratory
18. Familiarity with modern molecular biology software tools
19. DNA manipulation laboratory skills, such as cloning techniques, PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, DNA isolation.
20. Experience with analysis of DNA sequencing data
