Excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join a leading, multi-award-winning Housing Association. Joining a friendly and collaborative team - which covers the development aspect of the housing project cycle - your remit will include:
* Lead on ensuring accuracy for development spend in terms of accounting, budgeting and cash flow projections.
* Confirming all new developments completed are able to be used as security against funding requirements.
* Monthly monitoring and reporting for the development programme, including cash flows, development targets and monitored KPI's.
* Ensuring all financial information is regularly updated and is accurate in the groups systems (Sequel and Proval).
* Working with the Development team to implement any necessary process improvements..
* Recording monthly actual expenditure and reforecasting future expenditure to identify cash requirements.
* Management accounting duties including forecasting, budgeting and statutory accounting relating to development spend.
* Responsible for the submission of claims for Social Housing Grant.
* Responsible for the preparation and submission of various returns.
Applicants must be Fully Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA) Finance Professionals and, due to the remit of the role, must have previous relevance experience gained in the housing sector. Proval, Sequel and/or Brixx system experience would be of particular interest. You will have excellent communication/people skills and the ability to build good business relationships at all levels, working in collaboration to deliver the best possible results. A salary of £50-55k is complemented with benefits including 28 days holidays (plus Bank Hols), increasing by 2 days per year with service (to max additional 5 days), the option to buy more holidays, 35 hr week with flexible hours between 7am & 7pm, Monday to Friday OR the option work 35 hours over 4 days (Most of the finance team work a 4 day week, taking a Monday or Friday off), 50% Hybrid working after probationary period, 8% pension, Healthcare, Access to an on-site gym and excellent Training/development support and opportunities.
