Job description

Contract Type: Permanent
About this opportunity
Are you passionate about Art and keen to inspire the local Workington community? We're offering an exciting opportunity to teach Art workshops and courses in Workington and the surrounding area. You'll be delivering creative sessions that support learners in developing their artistic skills—and for many, these classes will also be a valuable boost to their wellbeing and mental health.
Who we are looking for…
We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Art tutor to join our Cumbria Adult Learning service working in Workington & Surrounding area on a part-time basis. If you have a strong background in Art and a genuine passion for sharing your skills, we'd love to hear from you. Whether your expertise is in fine art, multimedia, textiles—or a mix—we're open and flexible for the right person.
Cumbria Adult Learning are proud to be rated Good by Ofsted. We offer both face-to-face and online learning. We are focused on transforming lives in our most disadvantaged communities, improving employment prospects, and responding to the needs of local employers.
Our learners come from all walks of life and have a wide range of abilities—from complete beginners to more experienced artists. That's why we're looking for someone who can adapt their teaching to suit different learning styles and needs. Classes run during the day and in the evening, so flexibility is key.
Ideally, you'll already hold a teaching qualification. We are happy to consider applications from people who will enrol on one within the first 6-months of employment with us.
If you have a background in art and design and love inspiring others through creative, engaging lessons, we'd be delighted to welcome you to our friendly, can-do team.
