Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are working in partnership with a specialist project management consultancy at the forefront of onshore renewables and complex infrastructure delivery across the UK. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to support the development and consenting phases of utility-scale solar PV and onshore wind projects nationally.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing consultancy that partners with leading developers and asset owners to deliver some of the UK’s most ambitious renewable energy schemes. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving forward early-stage project activities, ensuring that development milestones are met, risks are effectively managed, and planning applications are submitted to the highest standard.
This organisation is committed to flexible and inclusive working practices, with the option of remote, flexible, or part time working patterns.
This business is particularly well suited to people that enjoy flexibility and autonomy within their work life, and those that would rather be judged by outcomes as opposed to hours present.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day project management of multiple solar and/or onshore wind projects during the development and consenting stages.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams, including environmental consultants, planners, land agents, legal advisors and technical specialists.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, trackers, and risk registers.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including local authorities, statutory consultees, and landowners.
* Support the preparation and submission of planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
* Report regularly on project progress, budget, and key risks to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
* UK based project management experience is essential.
* Proven experience managing complex projects from conception through to completion.
* Experience within renewable energy projects is of interest, but definitely not essential.
* Understanding of the UK planning system, EIA regulations, and land acquisition processes.
* Project management qualifications (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) desirable but not essential.
* Able to manage competing deadlines across multiple projects.
