1:1 ADHD Support Assistant – Primary School, Wallasey Start Date: April 2026 Agency: Teaching Personnel Contract: Full‑time, Term‑time only Pay: £13.75–£15 per hour Are you patient, positive and passionate about helping children shine? A welcoming primary school in Wallasey is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with ADHD on a 1:1 basis. Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Provide patient, encouraging 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with ADHD Use strategies such as visual prompts, movement breaks, task‑chunking and positive reinforcement Help the pupil stay focused, regulated and confident throughout the school day Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents and external specialists Adapt activities and bring creativity to learning to help the child succeed in their own way Promote social development, emotional regulation and positive routines Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that champions inclusion We’re Looking For Someone Who Is… Experienced in working with children (school, nursery, youth work or similar) Confident supporting pupils with ADHD or additional learning needs Calm, understanding and child‑centred in their approach Reliable, positive and proactive in the classroom Holding an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) Qualified to at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent Why Join Teaching Personnel?
