Private Energy Partners (PEP) is a fast-growing renewable energy and green industrial load developer on a mission to accelerate the decarbonization of energy. We deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects, sustainable industrial facilities and related infrastructure that drive industrial decarbonisation. Our projects are commercially successful, technologically advanced, and rooted in responsible development.
These projects save over 1.75M tonnes of CO2 every year, supplying the equivalent of 1.4M homes with renewable energy and have supported c.2800 jobs. The PEP team works closely with the investment teams at Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners across the US, UK and Australian energy markets. PEP was established to provide Quinbrook with enhanced capability in project origination, development, asset management and revenue optimisation.
Role
The Management Accountant holds accountabilities in the Finance function of the Company holding primary responsibility for the efficient, accurate and timely preparation and completion of the management accounts for all assigned Companies within the portfolio and ensuring the balance sheet is accurate, as well as other finance related tasks. You will report directly to the Financial Controller - the role will be based in our Swindon office with the team 3 days a week and WFH Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Production of monthly management accounts for assigned sites and analysing against budget
* Budget & forecasts preparation
* Balance sheet ownership and analytical review of all balances
* Keep up to date with development & construction progression and track costs
* Monthly Capex reporting and review
* Assistance with group audits
* Produce VAT returns for review
* Produce cashflows for multiple entities
* Communication with non-finance stakeholders
* Developing, enhancing, and documenting controls and procedures as required by business growth
* Assisting FD and Financial Controller with systems and process assessment and adoption, along with integration into new company systems in accordance with current Accounting Standards and legislation
* Other Management Accountant ad-hoc duties
Qualifications & Experience
* Management Accountant experience of ~3 years
* CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualified
* Experience in multi-entity structures
* Respond quickly to changing work demands and culture
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent knowledge of Xero and MS office applications, advanced Excel skills required
