Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Role Overview
The Electrical and Electronic Systems department is seeking talented, passionate, and driven engineers with strong Human Machine Interface (HMI) experience and proven expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering using PREEvision.
This role is focused on the development and delivery of innovative electronic systems and features across a next-generation vehicle portfolio. You will play a key role in defining, developing, and maintaining system solution specifications, working closely with cross-functional teams including MBSE, component owners, and Integration & Validation.
We are specifically looking for engineers who can confidently operate within a PREEvision-driven environment, contributing to end-to-end system design, architecture, and delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Independently review supplier issues or technical queries raised by component owners or validation teams, identifying and driving resolution of potential issues.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define optimal technical solutions, balancing performance, cost, and delivery timelines.
* Create, update, and maintain system and solution specifications within PREEvision as a core engineering activity.
* Develop and maintain system models, architectures, and traceability within a PREEvision-based MBSE framework.
* Define fault handling and diagnostic strategies across system solutions.
* Support the definition and integration of CAN and LIN communication architectures.
* Ensure stakeholder alignment and completion of required design and governance reviews.
* Manage tasks and workflows in line with established MBSE processes and best practices.
* Support additional engineering activities as required by the Engineering Manager or Team Leader.
Additional contributions may include:
* Delivering clear technical presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Reviewing system designs to identify improvements in cost, performance, and user experience.
* Maintaining full traceability of requirements, changes, and validation evidence (within PREEvision).
* Supporting delivery to programme timing, with clear communication of risks and issues.
Professional Experience and Skills
* Proven, hands-on industry experience using PREEvision.
* Strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within an automotive or complex engineering environment.
* Systems design capability including:
* Modelling (UML / SysML)
* Requirements capture, decomposition, and management
* Test case definition and traceability
* Demonstrated experience working within a PREEvision-centric toolchain.
* Experience writing structured natural language requirements.
* Familiarity with requirements and lifecycle management tools.
* Strong stakeholder collaboration and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Knowledge of logical and functional architecture design methods.
