We are seeking a talented Pensions Sales Consultant to join our Workplace Savings team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB).
This hybrid role entails a minimum of three days per week in the office, complemented by regular travel to engage with clients in person, fostering close collaboration with colleagues alongside flexible remote working arrangements. For this role we’re happy to consider candidates to be based out of any of our UK office locations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sales and eager to contribute to the growth and revenue of MMB. As a Workplace Savings New Business Sales Consultant, you will bring a solid understanding of the pensions industry, along with a foundational knowledge of Flexible Benefits, Healthcare, Group Risk, and the broader Employee Benefits market.
We will count on you to:
1. Develop and nurture relationships with both internal and external introducers.
2. Generate new business opportunities through your introducer network.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline records using designated systems.
4. Consistently meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
5. Deliver exceptional customer service and effectively manage prospect relationships.
6. Contract with customers in line with the company’s standard processes.
7. Identify and generate business opportunities for specialists within other areas of MMB and the wider MMC group.
8. Ensure all business under your responsibility meets the company’s quality standards.
9. Dedicate time and energy to your personal and professional development.
What you need to have:
10. Proven experience in a similar sales role.
11. Knowledge & understanding of corporate pensions.
12. Demonstrated track record of new business generation.
