Job Summary
Reporting the Group IT Director, ERG is seeking an IT support engineer with broad understanding of supporting commercial IT systems across multiple locations (UK and abroad). The role is multi-disciplinary, spanning support assistance across Networking, Software and Hardware. Whilst specific IT knowledge is required, ERG is seeking an IT "generalist" with a pragmatic and logical approach to problem solving day-to day IT support matters. Typically, these would cover networking, system updates and patches, updating hardware (e.g. RAM modules in laptops), cyber security training and planning, backup monitoring, configuration of new laptops and PCs, specification of system components as required. A candidate with knowledge of PC's, MS-DOS, memory management, networking, hardware upgrades, self-diagnostics and problem solving could be ideally suited to the role.
ERG has around 150 users, supported by a London based IT contractor that provides remote support for our servers and back-end configuration, the successful candidate would be responsible for working with our IT support contractor in day-to-day IT support and special projects management. Fundamental understanding and practical experience is required of the following topics: Office 365, MS networking, MS server administration understanding, key hardware components to Networks, PCs and laptops.
The role will be based in our head office in Horsham with occasional UK and international travel is required.
This role could suit someone seeking a part-time role working 5 mornings a week. This would reduce the salary on a pro-rata basis.
Salary will be subject to experience, qualifications and agreed working hours.
