Job Description To undertake janitorial and minor repairs and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient service within the overall priorities of establishments. To undertake operational duties within base establishment. To undertake technical duties within base establishments. Complying with the Health and Safety requirements and provisions and ensuring that safe working practices are adopted and that all equipment is operated safely. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van. Active listening and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with members of the public and staff Ability to move furniture & equipment in conjunction with moving and handling regulations Able to work both indoors and outdoors as required Ability to operate equipment and machinery as detailed in the job description Must be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service including the ability to work outwith normal hours This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
