Job Description:
The Procurement Consultant will report to an established Renewable Energy Procurement lead.
You will assist clients in delivering major capital programmes and projects for green technologies, promoting sustainable energy sources for customers and the community.

Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
* Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
* Support the development of procurement services.
* Assist in business development and marketing of the department.
* Contribute to the delivery of team and wider business targets.
* Support bid preparation, proposal documentation, and work-winning capabilities.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience in technologies such as Hydro-Electric, Wind, Tidal, Waste-to-Energy, Hydrogen, Solar, Carbon Capture, Net Zero, Biofuels, Geothermal is desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of embedding excellence into procurement activities.
* Experience in procurement strategy, supply chain management, and contract management, including major capital projects.
* Experience in responsible sourcing areas like human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery, and labour practices.
* Good understanding of the UK and international energy sectors, technologies, and regulations is desirable.
* Experience in supplier engagement.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
* A degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferred.
* Willingness to work towards CIPS Level 4 qualification.
