Keywork Central Ltd are looking for a Keyworker to work in our London wide business.
The role will involve working in many of our providers homes in and around South London.
As a member of our team, you will create positive relationships with our children and young people, along with our management team and staff.
You will know how to work as part of a dedicated team and also be pro-active and consistent in your approach to safeguarding and supporting our young people.
All key worker roles & responsibilities are to be maintained.
Support keyworkers, who work within the geographical landscape within the region.
Ensure that all units in your remit are maintained to a high level
Attend meetings as and when required.
Visit all units in your remit once per calendar month and do a property check.
Support management with Health & safety compliance, risk assessments, regular checks, fire safety drill/meeting points, fire safety signs and equipment up etc
Report and email property/repair issues to the email address
Maintaining YP files to a high standard
Participate in house meetings within your remit
Produce cleaning rota for YP if necessary.
Coordinate calls and requests from social services and other agencies to ensure the smooth running of the needs of the company, YP and support workers
Support Semi-Independent managers as and when requested.
Attend LAC reviews in the absence of the Semi-Independent manager.
Support with any emergency issues that may arise
Support the property team in emergencies as required
Provide support and motivation to other key workers
Support with shadowing opportunities for new key workers and volunteers
Respond to changes and amendments in allocated duties and support packages for young people

To be successful you must have a minimum of 24 months experience with supporting and working with young people with challenging behaviour.
Candidates should have a minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare as a minimum or another relevant qualification; or be willing to study towards gaining this qualification.
£ £16.00 ph
Requirements to be successful:
* Experience of working with children / young people in Ofsted environment (essential)
* Level 3 CYPW or above (or currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care) (essential)
* Enhanced DBS Check, and on the update service (essential)
Personal:
* Acting as a role model to our young people
* To keep updated on the everchanging requirements and good practice in our industry to support young people by developing skills, knowledge, and experience, in accordance with a personal development plan.
* To embrace and learn from the regular supervision provided.
Experience:
* Supporting young people: 2 years (required)
* Building honest open professional relationships with young people
* Listening to young peoples needs and concerns, developing coping strategies for those suffering from Mental Health difficulties.
* Engaging young people in all areas of their independent living e.g. Budgeting, Cleaning, Food and Hygiene, Personal Hygiene, Washing, Cooking, Home Care, Applications for Benefits etc.
* Recording and reporting on each contact with the young people, producing detailed accurate reports for our LA partners
* Participating in our on-call rota along with other management personnel
Licence/Certification:
* Health and Social Care to Level 3 or above (preferred)
Additional Duties:
* To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
* Flexibility to travel to multiple locations and offices as required for the business.
* Flexibility to work at other properties as directed by management.
