Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have an existing membership, with records updated accordingly, before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a permanent, part-time, term-time position based at Willowbank School, Kilmarnock, working 13.5 hours over Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Willowbank School caters to pupils with severe, complex, and profound additional support needs. Experience working with children with Additional Support Needs is advantageous.
The full-time equivalent salary is between £24,333 and £25,353 annually, with a proportional part-time salary of between £8,050 and £8,387 during term time.
