Our client is seeking an experienced, senior Marketing Manager to join the team on a contract basis, supporting the delivery of high-impact marketing activity during a critical growth period. This is a hands on, fast paced opportunity to make an immediate difference within a respected and forward-thinking institution.
The Marketing Manager plays a strategic role in leading and optimising multi channel marketing initiatives that align with commercial objectives, brand positioning, and growth targets. You will oversee the planning, development, and execution of both digital and traditional marketing campaigns while managing the day-to-day operations of the marketing function.
As Marketing Manager, you will also line manage the Marketing Coordinator, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure consistently high-quality outputs and a collaborative, results-driven team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Campaign Delivery
* Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels (email, SEO, social, web) and traditional media (TV, radio, print).
* Ensure alignment with brand and commercial strategy and consistency across all messaging.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Directly line-manage the Marketing Coordinator, acting as the main escalation point for operational issues.
* Foster a proactive, high-performing, and collaborative environment.
Content, Digital & Communications
* Oversee content creation, SEO, paid digital activity, social media planning, email marketing, and PR activity.
* Work closely with external agencies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Onboarding, and Business Intelligence.
Analytics, Budget & Continuous Improvement
* Manage the departmental marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Negotiate with agencies and suppliers to achieve the best outcomes.
* Monitor KPIs, analyse campaign performance, and use insight to drive continuous improvement.
Market Insight & Supplier Management
* Conduct market and competitor research to inform targeting and messaging.
* Coordinate external vendors and creative partners to ensure timely and accurate campaign delivery.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Marketing industry experience with a strong digital marketing capability
* Proficiency in Mailchimp, FireText, and Google Analytics
* Copywriting and content creation skills
* Email marketing experience
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills
* Strong organisational and project management ability
* Confident using marketing analytics and CRM tools
* Familiarity with project management platforms
* Flexible, resilient, proactive, and adaptable
Desirable:
* Degree educated
* Relevant marketing qualification
* Telecoms industry experience
* Print procurement experience
