We offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Orthoptist to join our friendly team of 8 Orthoptists, 9 Ophthalmologists and 6 Optometrists as well as Nursing and Administrative support based in the National Treatment Centre, Inverness.
The post holder will be one of three Advanced Practice Orthoptists in a busy department covering the largest Health Board area in Scotland with a full complex caseload of all types of Orthoptic patients.
The department delivers Orthoptic services in peripheral areas in conjunction with a comprehensive Preschool Orthoptic Vision Screening Service throughout the remote and rural communities of the Highlands, Western Isles and Orkney. This requires the applicant to be flexible and adaptive to a variety of working environments and hours of work.
Taking a patient centered approach, we are continuously developing the service aligning with workforce transformation to meet the needs of our population. We are looking for a compassionate, adaptable team player who has Advanced Practice knowledge and skills and can contribute to education and quality improvement within the Ophthalmology multidisciplinary team.
A full driving licence is required.
